In 2017, Africa Cries Out donated an ultrasonic instrument to our operating base in Senegal. At that time, there were only two in Senegal, one in the national hospital and one for us. When Dr. Faye received this instrument, he was extremely grateful, as he could use it to save the lives of many more pregnant women and children. It was also an extremely good instrument for our gynecology operations section. But just three days after he got the equipment, Dr. Faye died in Leprosy Village. Since then, we have not been able to find a doctor who is capable of using it. Our hero’s wish has never been fulfilled.<\/span><\/p>\n

Today I received a report from Pastor Anderson that this ultrasound machine is now in great use. We found a proficient doctor who checked dozens of pregnant women in one day. The obstetrics and gynecology department of our hospital is overcrowded. Here we extend our heartfelt thanks to all of our donors and volunteers. It is your generosity and love that has saved many lives!<\/span><\/p>\n

Now, our internal department of gynecology and pediatrics is prospering. With the support of all of our volunteers and donors, we have hired doctors and nurses, and we have distributed the medicine we are donating from the United States. Each year, the two major charities in the United States, “Americare” and “Direct Relief”, give us about $500,000 in medicines for free, which provides a solid foundation for our two hospitals.<\/span><\/p>\n
