Africa Cries Out (ACO) , a 501C (3) non profit organizations in US, will organize a Medical and Humanitarian Mission in Senegal, West Africa. We would like to invite you to participate. The capacity is limited, “first come, first serve”.

1. Personnel: Licensed physicians with all the specialties, such as Internal Medicine, Surgery, plastic and orofacial, anesthesiologist, OB/GYN, Pediatrics, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Dermatologists , Dentist, nurses, and Acupuncture, will be the first choice. We especially need an anesthesiologist in our 2023 trip.

Medical residents and students will be supervised by our attending physicians. Any other professions, or high school students, can also help and support the distribution of food, medicine, and help us to develop our various projects in Senegal.

2. Time: between March 16 and March 26, 2023. This is the dry season, which will have no mosquitoes and there will be a minimum risk for us to catch up the tropical diseases, such as malaria, yellow fever, meningitis, etc. There will be no any trip on our summer to Senegal.

3. All the volunteers can fly directly to Dakar International Airport, the capital of Senegal, from NYC, JFK airport. The flight will be 9 hour nonstop. 4. Fees: Approximately $950 for round trip air ticket from the US, $1,000 for each person for accommodation, local transportation and food, and $1,000 donation from each family for medicine and food to Africa people. No up limits if you would like to donate to help our school and hospitals. ACO will give out a letter for your taxes deduction for all the above expenses.

5. Please visit your primary care physician to have the vaccine inoculation recommended by www.CDC.gov before your trip. We usually recommend the following vaccines: Hepatitis A,Typhoid, Yellow Fever and COVID-19.

6. We will have two medical teams in 2023. Our surgical team will stay in the base hospital to perform surgery, assisted by the local surgeon for the entire trip. Our regular medical team will stay in our missionary base in Dakar to serve the local people for about 2-3 days, and then drive for 13-14 hours to serve the people in the leprosy village and other villages in Kedougou province.

7. US citizens will get your visas while arriving at the Dakar International Airport. Chinese citizens with green card may get visas at the airport, however, it is safer to have your visa before your departure. You must have a valid passport at least 6 months before entering.

ACO has been working in Senegal since 2013, we support two clinics and built up a trade school. It is a great honor to serve the needy even once in our lifetime.
