Patient Adoption Projects:

This standalone project within the ACO Youth Club focuses specifically on providing financial support to patients in need of medical treatment, particularly those undergoing surgeries. The project aims to raise funds to cover the costs of surgeries and medical supplies for patients in Africa. Youth members actively participate in fundraising campaigns, awareness initiatives, and donation management to support the Patient Adoption Projects. Through their involvement, they contribute directly to saving lives and gain valuable experience in fundraising, project management, and community service. Pictured on the right is Nathan Jiang, who raised $28,000 to purchase two US machines for hospitals in Senegal.

ACO School Clubs:

Youth leaders within the ACO Youth Club will actively establish ACO School Clubs within their respective schools. These clubs serve as platforms for students to engage in various activities aimed at:
  • Fundraising Events: Club leaders will organize various fundraising activities such as bake sales, handmade craft sales, instrument performances at farmers’ markets, and utilize online platforms like GoFundMe. These fundraising activities aim to raise funds for medical mission trips.
  • Collecting Essential Health Supplies: Students will collect medical supplements such as vitamins, Tylenol, Advil, as well as everyday items like toothpaste and toothbrushes. Suggest collaborating with clinics, dental offices, or other NGOs.
  • Gathering Educational Materials: Club members will gather electronic devices such as computers, iPhones, as well as study tools like pens, pencils, and notebooks. Suggest seeking cooperation with relevant stores to obtain retired and outdated products that can support educational endeavors. ACO will provide necessary documentation to facilitate tax deductions.
  • Collecting Everyday Necessities: Students will collect everyday necessities such as shoes, T-shirts, toys, and the necessities to be brought to Africa on the
    medical mission trip.
