Daka Technical School was opened on October 18,2021.  But the pandemic has completely changed the lives of people all over the world, including everything in Senegal. We planned to enroll 50 students this year, due to the pandemic, we only enrolled 25 students. 13 of them are studying electrical techniques, 5 students are studying plumbing, and 7 are studying bakery. We now have two female students studying sewing. After school starts, more women will be recruited so that they can learn how to make a living and strive for independent family status. On September 7, 2021, we reported that the construction of the girls’ dormitory has begun. Today is September 30. Thanks for our team’s efforts and everyone’s support. In 2017, Africa Cries Out donated an ultrasonic instrument to our operating base in Senegal. At that time, there were only two in Senegal, one in the national hospital and one for us. The 2021 Students Graduated from Technical School , Africa Cries Out Report 2021 06

On April 15th of 2021, a total of 36 students from our Dhaka Technical School graduated, including 9 boarding students and 27 day students. The construction of the 6000-square-foot second floor of our student dormitory has begun, with thanks to your donations. Despite the challenges of the last year, we now have enough funds to start construction. This second floor is to be dedicated to West African girls that are at risk for Female Genital Mutilation.
