Tour in Dakar

Author Xu jun, January 31, 2023

It is hard to imagine that people still haven’t seen skyscrapers, watched movies, or eaten hamburgers. Yet, these seemingly ordinary things are a whole new experience for most of the students in our technical school. Thanks to your loving friends who support our technical school, bringing new life to our students.

On Sunday, January 30th, with clear skies and a cool breeze, Mrs. Anna took dozens of technical school students to Dakar. Below is Mrs. Anna’s report.

It was an incredible weekend. First, we took students to Dakar. Only five people in the entire team have been to the country’s capital, Dakar.

Picture 1, the students happily stand together for a group photo at the movie theater.

We took them to the movie theater. Only three knew what a movie theater was, and others didn’t even know it, which was a new experience for them.

Picture 2, in the end, everyone had a hamburger. The students didn’t know how to express their gratitude for being able to experience all of this.

We thank God for shaping their character and accompanying them in their new experiences. Thank you for praying for our technical school. In the afternoon, we left Dakar, traveled 100 kilometers, and served in a church established by missionaries. It was a blessing.

Picture 5, In gratitude for the help of Mrs. Anna, she named her newborn daughter Anna.

Anna has served in the leprosy village for ten years, saving many girls facing female genital mutilation. These girls eventually got married happily and had children without any difficulties. In gratitude for Anna’s lifesaving grace, many named their daughter Anna. Please see the following report on Mrs. Anna.

Mrs. Anna Pola – A Hero who Embraces Leprosy, Tortured Girls, and Orphans – One of Dr. Xu Jun’s 2018 West African Journey Reverend Anna: Entering Loneliness, Dedicating to Africa for 21 Years

Dear loving friends and colleagues, when you see these young people whose lives have been changed forever with your help, when you see these girls who no longer have to worry about being taken for circumcision without anesthesia, you will surely be proud of being able to participate in this great work. We are also very grateful for your love. Drops of water will eventually become the sea. Every bit of love will change someone’s life. So let’s work together. Changing someone’s life is the meaning of life! The world will become better because of everyone’s little contributions!

We are also looking for a volunteer with image and video editing skills to join our team. If you are willing to contribute to the work of Africa Cries Out, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.
