For Dr. Faye’s Last Wish-Africa Crires Out Report 2021 08

In 2017, Africa Cries Out donated an ultrasonic instrument to our operating base in Senegal. At that time, there were only two in Senegal, one in the national hospital and one for us. When Dr. Faye received this instrument, he was extremely grateful, as he could use it to save the lives of many more pregnant women and children. It was also an extremely good instrument for our gynecology operations section. But just three days after he got the equipment, Dr. Faye died in Leprosy Village. Since then, we have not been able to find a doctor who is capable of [...]

For the Calling of Senegal – Our Seventh Year Report

Jun Xu, MD, Chairman of Africa Cries Out, August 5, 2019 In 2013, a group of volunteers—I among them—went to Senegal and Guinea-Bissau in West Africa. We witnessed the dust streets, the faces devoid of expression, the villages devastated by drought, and the patients short of medical care. Since then, the brown land of West Africa has been our spiritual home, and the memories of hungry children surrounding our cars have been branded on our hearts with a burning-hot flame of passion. After returning to the United States, we immediately applied for the “Africa Cries Out” non-profit 501 (C) 3 organization, [...]

Update on the Technical School

2014 was a year of great challenges, including the start of our first technical school in West Africa. This school, located adjacent to the Missionary base in Dakar, Senegal, will be a pioneer in providing practical skills. Students will have the choice to learn professions like plumbing, carpentry, nursing, English, French, computer, etc. Dr. Xu was inspired to provide young adults with an opportunity to learn skills that could immediately change their futures. Though still in its initial stages, with your help, this project could indefinitely change the lifestyles of many families in Senegal. We need your support to finish, equip, [...]
