This year, my child and I participated again in the Africa Cries Out Mission Trip in Senegal, and my heart was still full of anticipation as the first time. This time, my child started preparing early and kept sharing her experiences of the last mission trip with her circle of friends. There were several of her friends who were very interested, but their parents had more concerns, and most of them did not go. As someone who has never been to Africa before, I was very excited and nervous during the trip and was always wondering what else would be in store. The work was exciting, but even if it sometimes felt monotonous, there was still a clear purpose and a sense of accomplishment in the work I was doing. Earlier last year, I joined my mother on a two-week long medical mission and encountered first-hand the bleak reality of rural Senegal. Today, the Africa Cries Out medical team drove three hours to a village. Please allow me to share the service work of our medical team and youth volunteers.     Dear caring people, one of our youth team member, Nathan Jiang, participated in the "Africa Cries Out" medical/surgical mission for the first time in March last year. He witnessed first-hand the plight of African patients who lack resources for proper health care. When he returned to the United States, he began to actively work part-time, and advocated for the African patients to their church, relatives, and friends. Through his efforts, he raised $20,800.
